Making It Up As I Go Along #499

A quick thing today as I’ve been sick all week and not currently well suited to sitting in front of the computer concentrating.  So…

(To be recited to the tune of Frere Jacques)

Spring Time Cold Time
Hack hack snort snort
Hack hack snort snort
Wheeze snort sneeze
Wheeze snort sneeze
Trickling trickling eye tear
Trickling trickling eye tear
Head like gong
Head like gong

WEDNESDAY…
--- Work is normal.  After work, though, I stay behind and have Thai food for supper with Sarah and Melissa.
--- Some TV once I get home.
--- Nice day today… got up to 12… a new record for this day in Ottawa.

THURSDAY…
--- Day shift is followed by physio.  Lots of snow melting these days.  Rainy today and close to 10 degrees.  I’m perfectly fine with that.

FRIDAY…
--- Tired today.  Watch some TV and have a nap plus do some reading.
--- Nightshift calls.

SATURDAY…
--- Night shift is busy but it becomes an 11 hour shift for me thanks to the clocks adjusting.

SUNDAY…
--- Wake feeling a cold coming on.  Not appreciated.
--- Still too nice not to go out, cold or no… a walk in the woods with lots of melting going on (sunny and 10 degrees).

MONDAY…
--- Another warm day but no walk.  I’m fighting something.  Head is aching and a cough develops through the day.
--- Even still, I need groceries and make a run in the early afternoon.  Beyond that, I’m laying pretty low in the house.

TUESDAY…
--- Up to 16 today… and I’m stuck indoors.  My cold is getting worse rather than better.  Cough remains and congestion has joined the party.
--- Bit of TV… bit of reading… and I call and cancel lunch with Karl tomorrow as well as physio that was due after that.

WEDNESDAY…
--- Still out for the count.  Less cough and more congestion now… although the cough has not vanished either.  First work day tomorrow may be difficult.
--- Happy birthday to my dad.  The real celebrating a week away… looking forward to it.
